Still The Best Hollywood Movie On Mixed Relationships

An American treasure.

An American treasure.

Was just thinking about this movie. If you have never seen 1967’s “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner?” you should. It is an American treasure, with some of the best actor’s Hollywood has ever seen. And it dealt with mixed relationships at a time when it wasn’t so cool to show them on the big screen. I think I need to go watch it again.

  1. If the Cheerios commercial is any indication, apparently it still isn’t cool. *rolls eyes* I admit, I’m not familiar with this movie, though, so I will definitely check it out!

I’m surprised they were able to get financing for that film in the 1960s. It is an excellent work of art, with a fabulous cast and great script.

You are right about that. Can’t imagine how that pitch went. But with those three huge stars, wow, what a picture.

There’s also West Side Story too which was released six years prior to that.

Definitely a good one. Though that one didn’t deal with the mixed aspect as directly as “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner.”
