Ok, I know this blog’s focus is on issues related to getting us past our insane focus on skin color and so-called “racial” hang-ups, but I couldn’t resist drawing attention to this idiocy and truly sad situation. Below is a letter written by a Dad to his son who apparently just let his parents know he is gay. The Dad’s response is just unimaginable.
Talk about closed minded.
At the end of the day, I hate any kind of discrimination and I do believe in the notion that injustice anywhere threatens justice everywhere. I sincerely hope the son is OK and that the Dad also finds a way to get past his narrow mind and love his son the way a parent should.
